Armed Forces Day at Himley Hall set to be bigger than ever!

logo-afd-headerWe’re gearing up for the 2015 Armed Forces Day at Himley Hall on Sunday, 28 June – and it promises to be bigger and better than ever before!

Hosted in association with ‘Lets Get’ – it’s a spectacular day dedicated to celebrating the work of servicemen and women both locally and nationally, and one that brings together the communities of Dudley borough to mark our armed forces’ sacrifices and achievements.

The event will start from 11am and is packed full of fun and entertainment to keep the whole family happy, including a zip line, climbing wall and blind assault course as well as vintage fairground rides!

Celebrate local heroes at the presentation of medals and badges and don’t forget to cheer your favorites in the youth marching band competition.

Get up close and personal to current and historic vehicles with the vast motor display area.

Browse the craft and trade stands, which are a prominent and popular feature of the event.

Watch the fantastic band performances and spectacular Beating of the Retreat, which will close the event at 5pm.

Craft, food and army surplus stall holders are encouraged to apply early if they would like a trade stand at the show.  To apply for a stall, people should email jessica.haines@dudley.gov.uk for a booking form or call on 01384 817449 for more information.
