Would you like to see your doodle immortalised in glass alongside celebrity squiggles from the likes of Lenny Henry, Steve Bull and Emma Thompson?
The British Glass Foundation has been gathering doodles from famous folk to be made into glass works of art – and they’re asking KS1, KS2 and KS3 pupils to get involved with a doodle competition!
One pupil’s winning design will join the celebrity doodles and become a stunning piece of glass.
The competition is open to the following categories and a winner will be chosen from each category:
- 7 and under
- 11 and under
- 13 and under
Simply download the entry form and create a doodle using one of the following themes:
- My day/what I love to do
- Nasty Nature/Doodle Monster
- My favourite month
Send all your doodles to: Broadfield House Glass Museum, Compton Drive, Kingswinford, DY6 9NS by 27th March 2015 for a chance to WIN!
Winners of each age category will be notified via their school and invited to attend an Awards Ceremony on Wednesday 27th May at Broadfield House Glass Museum.
The Master of the Worshipful Company of Glass Sellers will present each winner with a £25 gift voucher and certificate.
One overall winner’s doodle will then be chosen to be created in glass and their school will receive a paperweight in recognition of the pupil’s achievement.
The glass doodles will be auctioned to raise funds for the British Glass Foundation, which will help preserve our glass heritage.
