The Wednesbury actor will help to launch the brand new lighting system which has been installed in the town centre as part of the multi-million pound market place redevelopment.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 14 at 5pm preceded by five hours of fun in Stone Street Square and Churchill Shopping Centre. There will be free funfair rides and live cookery demonstrations, street entertainers, vintage organ music, as well as Father Christmas!

Lights have been set into the buildings around the market place and landmarks such as the Duncan Edwards and Ben Boucher monuments.

The system will be able to light up the buildings in different colours so that events such as St. George’s Day or Breast Cancer Awareness Week can be commemorated.
