If you can’t resist eating a few choccie eggs this Easter holiday, don’t worry. You can work off the calories while having great fun at Dudley Council’s ‘Let’s Feel Good’ entertainment day!
Churchill Shopping Centre will play host to a range of fun and games for all ages on Friday April 10, with drop-in classes, taster sessions, healthy living advice and support and other great fun activities to boot.
Let your littl’uns jump into a junior bootcamp taster session while you have a bash at volleyball, or try a kettlebell workout. Test your mettle with one of the rowing machine challenges, or just pick up some great information and advice on fitness and details of memberships at Dudley Leisure Centre.
Kids can get their faces painted for free whilst you make the most of specialist help and support on stopping smoking, weight control, sensible drinking, healthy eating and managing long-term health conditions.
You can also discover the range of family activities and well-being initiatives running in the parks and green spaces across the borough throughout the spring and summer – so you can make the most of the lovely weather we’re going to have!
Activities will be ongoing between 10am and 3pm, and there will also be competitions for adults and children, with fabulous prizes for all ages.
Deborah Harkins, chief officer for health and wellbeing at Dudley Council, said: “We had some fabulous feedback from the Dudley Sunday fun day, which took place in February half-term, and this is the next Love Your Community event for the town centre.
“At the council we are investing heavily in our Let’s Get programme, which encourages people to be active and healthy and we saw this event as an ideal opportunity to show people how they can have fun in the borough, rain or shine.
“The day will be an opportunity for children and adults to have free holiday fun while also having the chance to pick up useful information. My only advice is to remember to bring your trainers!”
Everyone attending can pick up a free seven-day pass for Dudley Leisure Centre. Information on this will be available at the leisure centre and from health and leisure centre staff at the Churchill Shopping Centre on the day.
Free parking will be available at Dudley Leisure Centre.
