Entertaining the under 5s

climbtreeLet’s face it – loveable as they are, the under 5s can be a pretty tough bunch to keep entertained.

Our Dudley attractions know this and, more to the point, they have done something about it!

These brilliant activities have all been organised with your terrific (if sometimes troublesome) toddlers in mind.

Parks and Nature Reserves:

Dudley is full of wonderful green spaces and nature reserves, like Priory Park, Himley Park, Wren’s Nest and The Leasowes. There are simply loads of things we could list here that would entertain our younger audience because many run regular programmes of outdoor activities that kids can enjoy. To keep it simple, we’ve found a small sample to give you some ideas on what’s available.

Bug Hunt at The Leasowes
Fairies and Elves Day

Museums:

We’re also really lucky to have some fabulous museums on our doorstep – and many are free to go into. Here’s a selection of family fun events coming up. While you’re there, you can tag on some education too!

Zoo:

Of course, when we think of the under 5s age group the zoo is sure to come to mind. What little one wouldn’t love spending a day at Dudley Zoo and Castle? To make it even more fun though – if that’s possible – they are holding some special under 5s events with more interactive activities tailored just to them!

Wow! With all this going on – there’s no way under 5s can fail to be amused.  And we haven’t even mentioned all the family festivals and events that all ages can enjoy.  I think that will have to be another post….
