It’s all going on at Himley Hall and Park this weekend with two massive events organised for Friday and Sunday, 27th and 29th June.

The park will become Himley beach on Friday, as the venue hosts its ever popular ‘Under 5s Day’, tailored for – you guessed it – toddlers and their families.

As well as a man-made sandy beach, there will be a land-train offering free rides around the park and seaside activities like puppet shows, crazy golf, a petting zoo, face painting, donkey rides and mini funfair rides.

And for families with the stamina to head out again on Sunday (we’ll give you Saturday to rest…), the annual Armed Forces Day event will have a host of entertainment and fun for all ages.

We’re expecting big crowds to gather in celebration of the work of servicemen and women on Sunday, which will include an RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight spitfire flypast at around 2pm, weather permitting.

While you’re waiting for formal celebrations to start in the afternoon, you can whizz down a zip wire, race some go karts, head up the climbing wall and bounce to your heart’s content on the trampolines.

Or browse the displays of historic vehicles and enjoy entertainment in the arena, including the youth marching band, the Staffordshire Military Wives Choir and the D Day Darlings.
