The summer hols are on their way – oh yes! Parents across the country are rallying themselves for the cries of ‘I’m bored’.
Well, there’s no need to worry in Dudley – we’ve got you covered, with JAM!
Not the strawberry, raspberry or even gooseberry kind…
Our JAM (Juniors at Museums) is a club aimed at kids, to help keep fingers and minds busy in our museums throughout the year. It encourages families to visit interesting places, and get involved in some great activities too. With a host of activities available for free – it means you don’t have to spend a fortune to keep the little ones entertained and, being in a museum, we might squeeze a bit of learning in without them noticing!
There are craft workshops, storytelling sessions, free trails, events and other activities taking place during the school holidays and over some weekends outside of holiday dates too.
Venues involved in the venture include the Red House Glass Cone, Dudley Museum & Art Gallery and Broadfield House Glass Museum.
Most activities are aimed at 4 years upwards, although they will need a supervising adult with them throughout the sessions. Some are for younger kids and some older, but each activity will specify the recommended age so you can be sure it will be suitable for your child.
Booking may be required for some sessions – but all the info you need can be found on this easy to follow leaflet.
