Who loves a good treasure hunt? The thrill of tracking the trail, the excitement of solving clues, and the delight of discovery along the way…
Then you need to join fellow adventurers at our Dudley museums this summer holiday, where there are free family trails aplenty.
They’re sure to amuse – and they might even educate as well (but parents – you can keep that bit of info to yourselves if you like!).
All the following family trails are available during museum opening hours. It’s free entry to go in, and free to take part!
Dudley Museum & Art Gallery
FREE Family Trail, 19th July – 30th August
Unearth treasures through time with this simple hunt around the museum, suitable for all ages. Discover dinosaurs, rock stars, sporting legends – and even a Dalek as you go!
Museum opening hours: Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to 4.00pm. For more information call 01384 815575
The Red House Glass Cone
FREE Family Duck Trail, 31st July – 31st August
You’d be quackers to miss this! Some ducks have escaped from the neighbouring canal and are taking over the Cone and studios. Can your toddlers help us find the little waddlers?
The Cone is open every day from 10am – 4pm. For more information call 01381 815571 or 01384 812381.
Broadfield House Glass Museum
FREE Family Trail, 19th July-31st August
You might need your glasses on to search amongst the glass treasures here! This simple trail is perfect for families to complete together – and encourages children to look at the museum’s collection as you go. If you manage to follow it all – there’s a free craft on completion.
The Museum is open from 12noon – 4pm Tuesday to Sunday. For booking or general information please call 01384 815571 or 01384 812745
So, come on . . . a-hunting we must go!
