Get the wind in your hair, the sun on your back and watch the beautiful scenery fly past as you join bikers from across the borough with Dudley’s 2014 Sky Rides.
Grab your pushbike and get involved! These free cycling trails have been organised by British Cycling and Sky, in partnership with Dudley Council, and offer events to suit cyclists of all abilities.
The cycle rides of varying distances and difficulties take place throughout August and September taking in some of the boroughs’ breathtaking beauty spots.
If you fancy a challenge, more accomplished cyclists are invited to take part in the challenging Kinver Klimber on Sunday, August 17.
Cyclists should meet at Mary Stevens Park for 10am and prepare for an undulating route around the rolling hills of South Staffordshire.
Or for a steadier trail, a much easier ride is on offer with the Kingswinford Urban Escape during the afternoon, starting at 2pm. This will be a four mile traffic free ride along a section of the Kingswinford railway walk trail which runs from Himley to Wombourne.
Other Sky Rides available include another Quarry Biker Nature Trail on Sunday August 24th, starting at 10am from Stevens Park, and the Saltwells Wood Explorer, which follows in the afternoon starting at 2pm.
