Magna Carta – Rebellion and the birth of Democracy

BM4BMK_2937399bDudley Archives and Local History service celebrate the 800 years anniversary of the signing of Magna Carta and 150 years since the Corporation of Dudley came into being.

You can enjoy a fantastic talk by historian John Hunt on 13th century England discussing the relationship between the King and the Localities; including Simon de Montfort and the rebellion of the Earl of Lancaster in the early 14th century – and how the barons of Dudley were caught up in these events.
