Did you know it’s National Insect Week this week?
Television chat show host Jonathan Ross launched the event on Monday at the Natural History Museum and shared this fab photo of himself with a stag beetle!
Not to be outdone – we’re marking the occasion in Dudley with a brilliant ‘Incredible Insects’ bug hunt at The Leasowes Nature Reserve. We’re also encouraging visitors to take your own photos with the insects you find. (You don’t have to put them on your nose – unless you want to!)
We would love you to share them with us on our Facebook page or via Twitter (make sure you use #mydudleybug and #NIW2014). And, as part of the national bug-loving initiative, there’s a photography competition – so send your piccies in for a chance to win a cash prize!
And there’s more to come across Dudley borough for lovers of the little things!
