We know you always save him a glass of something nice and a mince pie for Christmas Eve, but did you ever think of sending Santa a Christmas card?
Father Christmas is setting up his secret underground workshop in the Dudley caverns again this year, and the Canal Trust want to make his grotto a real home from home – so they want lots of cards to grace his mantlepiece.
Can you help?
All cards received will be delivered to Santa in his underground grotto, where they will be displayed to be seen by everyone who visits this Christmas.
Cards can be homemade or shop-bought, and should be posted to Father Christmas at the following address:
c/o Dudley Canal Trust Trips Ltd, 501 Birmingham New Road, Dudley, DY1 4SB
“We’re hoping to fill Santa’s underground home with Christmas cards from local children,” says Nick Morris, Chief Executive of Dudley Canal Trust Trips. “Looking out for the card you’ve sent will be just one of many magical experiences visitors get when they come and see Santa with us.”
Boats to see Santa are departing on weekend dates between 7th and 21st December and also Monday 22nd December, for a one-hour trip into the caverns. Departure times are available between 10am and 5pm. Tickets are £10.80 which includes a hot drink and a mince pie for adults and a gift for children. Other refreshments will also be on sale on the canal towpath.
Tickets are available online at www.dudleycanaltrust.org.uk or from the Dudley Canal Trust Trips offices in person or by calling 0121 557 6265.
