There’s a host of fascinating events lined up in November for those who love nature and the great outdoors.
On Saturday, November 22, National Tree Week is being celebrated at Mary Stevens Park with activities including bark rubbing, tree identification and a tree trail. It’s suitable for all ages so why not come along and learn all about the beauty of some of nature’s most enduring features.
On Sunday, November 16, you can join in with tree planting at The Leasowes, get your fingers dirty helping the wardens plant a wealth of native trees.
Saltwells Nature Reserve is the venue for a compelling event investigating myths and folklore of trees and woodland, on Sunday, November 9.
And last but not least, this Sunday, November 2, sees a chance to join in with a fungi foray where you can learn about an eclectic array of local fungi species at Leasowes Nature Reserve.
