We’re liking Vikings at Broadfield House!

VikingThere’s nout more striking than a Viking – as you’ll discover at this family day event.

The Svartland Viking Age Living History group will set up camp at Broadfield House Glass Museum on Saturday, 13 September to give visitors a taste of the Nordic life.

There’ll be plenty of people to meet.  Come and chat to the Viking Armourer about his work kitting out the Viking warriors with helmets, shields and weapons – and maybe try some on for size.

Find out from the Fletcher about the fine art of arrow making and talk to textile workers while watching them weave their intricate designs.

Who will be round the next corner? You might find a basket weaver, fisherman, or spice trader…

But beware, the Vikings can be fierce fighters and you may just see some characters in combat!

Don’t expect to just sit back and watch – there’s loads of opportunity to join in the fun.

Learn how to play traditional Scandinavian games and make your own striking Viking souvenir to take home.

The family event is free to attend and runs from 10am to 4pm.

Join us at Broadfield House Glass Museum, Compton Drive, Kingswinford, West Midlands, DY6 9NS and enjoy a historic Viking adventure.
